Estimates
Job estimates are reports which show summaries of the job as well as detailed line by line figures of fees and expenses. They also contain the associated Terms & Conditions and can be used for contractual purposes. Estimates in CIMS use the figures input in the jobs, fees and expenses sections and are easily generated. All changes to these sections are automatically reflected in estimates.
Estimates are created in PDF format and can be emailed to the client directly from CIMS. Estimates can also be copied to any other recipients required by use of the CC field.
To create an Estimate do the following
1. From the main ring menu select "View Listings"
2. Find the required job and select the "Estimates" icon
3. Select the recipient. The drop down list will show people at the client organisation
4. Enter recipients to be copied into the email. Note that each email address should be separated with a comma and no spaces
5. Select a currency
6. Enter a message subject line
7. Enter a message in the message body text box
8. To preview the estimate, select the "Preview" button
9. To email the estimate, select the "Send" button. This also saves the estimate
